IS CANADA STILL AN OPEN COUNTRY?
Thereās been a lot of noise and grumbling regarding the recent immigration cuts. The projected number of new permanent residents is from 485,000 to 395,000 in 2025, with further reductions to 380,000 in 2026 and 365,000 in 2027.
I donāt know about you but I think the Canadian government is doing its best to create a system that makes sense for their residents and immigrants.
In an interview with CBC's The House, Miller said that people "still see a lot of hope in coming to Canada" but "not everyone can come here or can have the privilege of becoming a permanent resident and then a Canadian."
You see, thatās the thing about change. Itās constant and evitable.
