JOB HUNTING JUST GOT EASIER?
So word on the grapevine is that Ontario is passing a law requiring employers to disclose when a job posting exists.
Even better, employers are also expected to follow up with interviewed candidates, whether hired or not. In summary, no ghosting candidates, no posting fake jobs and if you’re caught, you get slammed with a $100,000 fine.
Love it!
I mean with so many ghost job posts and employment scams in Canada, I’m impressed to see Ontario taking the lead on such a humanitarian policy.
Now if you have some questions about the execution and process of this new law, you’re not alone. I’ve got a couple of questions myself.
PS: At least we can vouch for the legitimacy of the jobs listed on our job board.
