YOUR JOB OR YOUR CAREER?

Do you agree that building a fulfilling life in Canada can be complex?

You came all the way here to improve the quality of your life but then you soon realize that you may have to put your career aspirations on hold just so you can survive.

When I arrived here, the first thing on my mind was making sure I could get a job.

At the back of my mind though, I couldn’t help but wonder why I had to take just any low-end job despite my skill set and years of work experience. Was I really sure that I would secure a better-paying and decent job if I could endure flipping burgers or washing toilets at the moment?

I’d love to hear from you though.

How did you navigate the work-to-survive trap in Canada? Did you have to dump your career goals or were you able to rise above the system?
