It’s Raining Benefits!

I just love how the Canadian government intentionally ensures new immigrants feel welcome and empowered to thrive.

If you’re reading this as a low-income earner or newbie in town, there are a couple of benefits you might be eligible to cash out on. Here are the top three that are due this week.

  • Canada Workers Benefit (CWB): This refundable tax credit supports low-income workers. You can learn more and apply here.

  • Canada Child Benefit (CCB): This benefit provides tax-free monthly payments to help with the cost of raising children under 18. Find out more here.

  • Canada Carbon Rebate (Canada Climate Action Incentive Payment): This program is designed to help offset the costs associated with federal pollution pricing, this rebate is issued quarterly. Find out if you’re just in time for Q4.

Don’t sleep on these benefits. Get all the info you need.

ATTENTION: EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSISTANTS

Are you looking for a rewarding full-time role in early childhood education? (Or know someone who is?).

A reputable childcare centre is hiring an Early Childhood Assistant to join their team. You’ll be responsible for educating and caring for young children in a nurturing classroom environment. You also get to work alongside Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) to develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and communicate with parents about their child’s progress.

Kikachi Memeh, a Nigerian journalist and cultural producer, shares an inspiring story of staying connected to her Nigerian roots while navigating cultural isolation in Canada. Even when feeling out of place, she boldly challenges limited perceptions of her identity and advocates for the recognition of her distinct heritage.
